X Factor Player Rating

This is a player rating tool that aids in pinpointing where a player is currently at and recommends how to improve. We encourage you as the coach to keep a record of the players you are helping to educate and periodically review it as a means for growth. Keeping records is a valuable piece of learning. Players are rated on the scale according to their ability to deal with pressure.

SOCCER DEVELOPMENT TRACKING

Players are rated every 6 months beginning at U9.  Here is the curriculum for at what ages players should begin to measure performance by stages.

This system gives coaches and Organizations the ability to rate players objectively and systematically individually and with their team in various environments.

EASY TO START:

This system for rating players is very simple to start and you can evaluate players at various stages on day 1.

What the rating system consists of:

1. Evaluations
2. Educational Material
3. Instructor Certification

Players are evaluated over 5 stages of Performance:

Base Stage (Individual Physical Component)
Soccer Stage 1 (Individual  Physical Soccer Skill Component)
Soccer Stage 2 (Simple Individual Tactical Skill Component)
Soccer Stage 3 (Compound Individual Tactical Skill Component)
Soccer Stage 4 (Team Tactical Skill Component)

During the individual stages players are evaluated on if they can perform a certain skill under varying amounts of pressure and are given a rating 1 (not able to do a skill without pressure) to 4 (can perform desired skill under intense pressure).

At the Soccer Stage 4 - Players are given general designation for their team grouping.

Alpha Team Player Ages normally range from u9 - u13
Beta Team Player Ages normally range from u14 - u18
Delta Team Player Ages normally range from u19 - Adult


The X Factor training system has been created to answer the needs of the growing soccer training public. Currently, there are no total soccer training systems available that can provide information on how to train a player that has never touched a ball and lead them all the way through to advanced playing concepts and styles.

The X Factor System is geared toward all Coaches, Players and Parents. 

How does the X Factor help Players?

• Provides an individual player development spectrum map that shows what it takes to become an accomplished soccer player. Previously in soccer there was none.
• Illustrates abstract ideas that are apart of soccer. They are original visual maps that helps in the understandings of Attacking, Scoring, Dribbling, Passing and Defending.
• Helps players to understand their unique style in the game and how they can hone their personal technique for success.

How does the X Factor help Parents?

• Gives parents an informed understanding of the challenges their child will be facing in the game
• The material is explained in such a way that parents can now participate with increased positive results.

How does the X Factor help Coaches and Organizations?

• Embraces that each coach has a unique coaching style.
• Provides a basic framework to organize teaching.
• Open ended system that allows for improvement by the individual but establishes a knowledge floor for all the coaches and players in an organization.
• Revenue generating courses and programs can be created, including licensing, that the individual or organization is in full control of.

In presentation of the system, it can be broken into smaller parts, on a per product basis to answer the needs of each Player, Parent or Coach. Here are the reasons why:

• Economically: if Players, Parents or Coaches cannot afford to purchase the whole system all at once they can put themselves on a purchasing path that will allow over time to receive the whole system with no negative ramifications.
• Developmentally: Even though all players must start at the beginning to improve their soccer skills, from there, progress varies greatly individual to individual. Participates and educators can opt in or out at any level.
